Pinecone-Burke Provincial Park

This blog was created for anybody interested in the Park, which is located in south-western portion of British Columbia, encompassing the western uplands of Pitt Lake, Upper Pitt River. Trail conditions, and maintenance schedules will be posted as time permits. I encourage all visitors, to post trail conditions here, it will help us to target the worst areas.
Burke Mountain Naturalist members, regularly organize walks, hikes throughout the area, check the schedule here
Maps and GPS coordinates, are a work in progress, stay tuned!
A pdf map of the lower park's trails, from the Province.
The City of Coquitlam has a mapping application called Qthemap (IE only!) which allows you to print off maps of the Coquitlam portions of the park, the hiking trail overlay in this application is very vague and poor.

This is a great idea! It will not only help with trail maintenance, but will provide the blog visitors insights they may not otherwise be able to get. Also, there's much more to Pinecone-Burke Provincial Park than just the Burke Mountain and Widgeon Lake & Creek areas. Hopefully, future bloggers will talk about some of those other regions of the park which also contribute to the gem that it is.
